Field Schools/Internships
ASU Kampsville Field School: Offers up to 9 credits for attending ~6 week field school for one of two tracks for field school: Bioarchaeology/Human Osteology or Field Archaeology/Geophysical Testing (2020) *CANCELLED DUE TO COVID-19
ASU – Guatemala: Field school for community and medical anthropology (2021)
UMass – Amherst: Field School in Bioarchaeology and Forensic (2021)
Nevada State Historic Preservation Office (SPHO): Internship in Cultural Resource Management/ Archaeology to learn applied skills of on cultural resource management, public archaeology and history
California Academy of Sciences: Research Collections Volunteer position, which has to ability to help classify bones, work with specimen, and learn various techniques
Smithsonian: Through the National Museum of Natural History Internship Opportunities are available for students who wish to gain experience in natural history research, collections management and much more
University of Colorado – Colorado Springs Field School: Field Practicum in 19th/20th Century Archaeology, where students would work on a professional archaeological project and participate in analysis and field techniques (2020)
University of Colorado – Colorado Springs Field School: Field Experience in Applied Anthropology, Ecuador (2021)
